"...many if not most Christians are bored with their faith."
Mark Batterson, Wild Goose Chase
In August, I responded to a request for bloggers to review this book before it hit the shelves. I read the book in a couple of weeks and never posted my blog review....until today. The truth is this was a very good book. I read Mark Batterson's previous book, In A Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day, last year and liked it so much that I used it as our home group curriculum for our senior high guys. In this book Mark challenges Christians on what he feels most of us are missing in our pursuit of God...adventure. The truth is I agree. Mark writes in a way that always encourages me to chase after the big dreams and goals that I feel God has placed on my heart. It's so easy to get caught up in the things that are demanding of your time today and forget about the plans God desires you to pursue for the future. There were some similarities for me between Wild Goose Chase and In a Pit which was a good thing in my opinion. I believe Mark has a niche writing to encourage, excite, and empower (three E's..WOO HOO!) Christians to live their lives to the fullest.
What I am trying to say is...go get yourself an In N' Out Burger and get to reading!
